Ladies’ Spring Bible Studies

ladiesstudies

Beginning February 26, Tuesdays are Ladies’ Ministry Night at SRBC. Ladies are encouraged to sign up for one of our eight-week Bible studies. All ladies will meet for a coffee/tea fellowship from approximately 7-7:30 pm before breaking out to the small groups from 7:30-8:30 pm. We will not meet the following Tuesdays due to spring break schedules: March 19th and April 2nd.

This spring we are offering 1 video study and 2 book studies. Please consider signing up for one of these. Books can be purchased through the church.

Video Study: Nehemiah: A Heart That Can Break – Nehemiah’s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. This Bible study by Kelly Minter is a 7-session video series for women with accompanying study guide. All ladies who sign up for this video series will watch a 20 minute video, and then break up into small groups for discussion. Cost: $13.00

Book Study: A Praying Life: Connecting with God in a Distracting World by Paul E. Miller – Author Paul Miller shares his insights and conclusions about how to connect the broken pieces of your life and allow prayer—even poorly delivered—to fill the gaps with meaning and substance. Miller’s down-to-earth approach and practical nature will help you see that your relationship with God can grown and your communication with Him can get better. Join a small discussion group for 7 weeks as we discuss the topic of prayer. Cost: $10.00

Book Study: True Community by Jerry Bridges – If you missed this book in Fall 2012, this is another opportunity to participate in a discussion of a fantastic book. Fellowship among believers is more than just talking over coffee after church service. Biblical fellowship in New Testament times—or koinonia—had rich and varied meanings, including covenant relationship, partnership in the gospel, communion with God and others, and the sharing of earthly possession. In True Community, the author guides the reader through koinonia and its implications for today’s church. With discussion questions at the end of each chapter, this book will help you dig deeper into what Chrisian community in the twenty-first century should look like. You will come away with a new appreciation for fellowship, the church, and what God intended the body of Christ to be. This will be a 7-week book discussion in a small group format. Cost: $10.00
